Raw Food Chef Certificate in Nicaragua

This unique experience includes food for 10 days, yoga everyday, accommodation, airport transfer and volcano  views and monkey howling.

This course offers a comprehensive study into a whole foods, plant-based lifestyle as a means to heal the body and ignite your spirit of adventure and passion to get you into the kitchen and experiment.  It is comprehensive, intimate and interactive with only 8 – 10 participants . While on the quaint little island of Ometepe, we will engage in hands-on learning and a lot of taste testing, we will learn to heal the body and optimize our nutrition intake in a sustainable, long-term way with delicious organic whole foods!

Pachavega Certification courses offer a comprehensive study into a whole foods, plant-based lifestyle as a means to heal the body and ignite your spirit of adventure and passion to get you into the kitchen and experiment. 

The courses are also approved by CAHNPRO (Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals) for upgrading hours and continuing education credit units as well as by CSNN (Canadian School of Natural Nutrition) for graduates and current students to receive external practicum hours.

We will have 2 rest days where there are many activities as an option – including hiking volcanoes, swimming, kayaking, horseback riding, kite boarding and cycling among others which will be organized by our tailor-made tour company, Green Pathways. We will arrange airport transfers from the airport to the island for your comfort and safety with Green Pathways. Our goal is to arrange group transport on the morning of March 12th to the island in which the cost is included, but if you arrive at another time, you’ll be responsible to cover the cost of a private airport transfer which we will also arrange. This cost would be $175 USD, one way. Aim to arrive in the evening of March 11th and your hotel accommodation on the first night is covered. You’ll be staying at the Best Western which is directly across the street from the airport. 

Accommodation in Nicaragua: 

Casa del Bosque on Finca Campestre is a unique “off grid” organic farm house in the village of Balgue, Isla de Ometepe. Set in the hills, off of a dirt road, this peaceful location offers amazing views of Lake Nicaragua and both island volcanoes. The property is folded within salad gardens and farm woodlands with each room having its own private bathroom complete with composting toilet, private veranda, hammocks and chairs and table for you to relax or study the night away. All your meals are included (except on the 2 days off) 8 days, 3/day + snacks/superfoods/tonics as well as a detailed, comprehensive textbook and organic, local and seasonal produce.

On the first day, we will arrive and get settled into our rooms and take a walk around the farm.  From 5:00-8:00 PM we will have a meet and greet (with snacks) outlining the course and answering all questions you may have about how the course will roll. The rest of the course will run 8:00AM sharp – 5:00 PM with a 45 min break between modules (each day this may be at different times). You’ll have homework and assignments to complete in the evenings as well however I will give you some time throughout the course to work on them – This is an intensive course but also extremely rewarding 🙂 

There are a few small pre-requisites to beginning either course – first you must complete an online food safety module. It should take you less than an hour but its good to make sure everyone is on the same page regarding this important topic. Once you register, I’ll send you the link to the course. 

You are also required to watch 3 films, Cowspiracy, Forks over Knives and Food Matters. They will give you a new perspective and provide for some interesting conversation throughout the course. 

If you’re keen to register now, typically, students pay the deposit ($750) immediately upon registration and then one instalment per month leading up to the course. Make sure you read the cancellation policy too before committing.

Once you’ve decided for sure, I will send you an official invoice. The monthly payment plan would vary and would be customized, depending on what course you choose. You can also pay in full upon registration.
