22 Days to Heal and Ignite: Day 08

They say it takes 21 days to form a habit, but just for good measure, we at Pachavega came up with a 22-day plan to heal your body and ignite your spirit… be inspired, feel amazing and learn to rock 22 delicious recipes that will impress!

Day 08

Eating an acidic diet of processed foods, meat, fish, coffee, soda, sweets and dairy causes weak immunity, lethargy, weight gain, and poor nails, hair and skin. To negate its effects, consume more alkaline vegetables as these are basic on the pH scale and can bring you into a better balance. Consuming alkaline food promotes weight loss, increased stamina, and stronger immune system.

Pad Thai Noodle Salad

Ingredients:
sauce
3 tbsp lime juice
3 tbsp water
2 garlic clove
3 tbsp of gluten-free tamari
¾ cup of almond butter
3 tsp coconut nectar/ raw honey/ maple syrup
1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
2 tsp freshly grated ginger

salad
Kelp noodles, rinsed and cut
Kale, chiffonade
¼ red cabbage, chiffonade very thin
Zucchini noodles, spiralized and cut
1 carrot, peeled or julienned
Fresh sprouts/ microgreens
A handful of pumpkin seeds
A few pinches of chopped green onion
Black sesame seeds for garnish

Procedure:
Prepare Salad ingredients by chopping, chiffonading, spiralizing, etc. Place all in a large mixing bowl. Add Sauce ingredients to a High-speed Blender and blend on high until well mixed and creamy, pour over salad and mix well using tongs. Garnish with a sprinkle of black sesame seeds.
