22 Days to Heal and Ignite: Day 12

They say it takes 21 days to form a habit, but just for good measure, we at Pachavega came up with a 22-day plan to heal your body and ignite your spirit… be inspired, feel amazing and learn to rock 22 delicious recipes that will impress!

Day 12

Seaweeds are an abundant source of trace minerals such as calcium, zinc, potassium and iron; have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties; and are a rich source of iodine, a nutrient often missing from our food that regulates the thyroid gland. On top of these, they are of low caloric content, making them great for weight maintenance.

Sushi Salad

Ingredients:
sauce
¼ cup gluten-free tamari
2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp wasabi powder, mixed with ½ tbsp warm water
1 tbsp ginger powder
1 tbsp fresh ginger
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dulse powder

salad
1 avocado
2 cups of shredded carrot
4 sheets of nori, torn up
1 cup sprouted wild rice
1 cucumber, julienne
1 red pepper, julienne
black and white sesame seeds
a handful of mixed baby greens

Procedure:
Mix the sauce ingredients in a mason jar and shake vigorously. In a separate bowl, chop up the salad ingredients, add sauce and mix with tongs. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
